JOB INFORMATIONThe Position: People & Organizational Development Program Coordinator
This will be a hybrid remote/in-person position with the primary on-site work location being at 1200 Third Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101. This position will report to the POD Program Manager; it may have supervisory responsibilities.
Key Areas of Responsibility: Your work may include:
- Developing program strategies and executing recommended training programs for first line supervisors and mid- to senior-level managers including a blend of in-person and virtual options.
- Developing policies and coordinating required training programs for supervisors and other employees.
- Using data to develop reports, analyze trends, and identify gaps to inform strategy and policy direction.
- Creating and delivering custom learning content specific to organization demands and in alignment with learning and development best practices, including both e-learnings and live, instructor-led trainings.
- Small and large group team facilitation and organization development work as needed.
- Learning management system administration (SAP SuccessFactors Learning) responsible for administering policy, procedure and system governance with other users and including technical support.
- Coordinating and managing Citywide new employee orientation biweekly, in-person, including coordinating with different stakeholders and management.
- Digital learning design using modern instructional design principles.
- Creating multimedia learning resources, job aids, videos and other support materials with a keen eye for graphic design and layout.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in communication, Education, Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Management, Business or Public Administration, or a related field, and
- Five (5) years of professional-level experience would be a typical way to demonstrate these qualifications.
- Administrator experience using a learning management system.
- Experience in e-learning design platforms.
- Demonstrated experience managing and delivering programs across an organization comparable in size and complexity to the City of San Diego.
Desirable Qualifications: - Graduate-level degree in a related field
- LMS experience using SAP SuccessFactors is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Articulate (e.g., Storyline or Rise) to design, develop, and deliver engaging e-learning content and training materials is preferred.
