The Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Program Coordinator to join the Pedestrian Ramps Program team in the Program Management Unit - Programs.

Successful candidate will report direction of the Program Director and will supervise a team of Senior Project Administrators, Project Administrators, and Junior Project Administrators responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately $5.6 Billion of design and construction of Pedestrian Ramps projects throughout the five boroughs. The Program Coordinator will monitor, track, and identify critical issues throughout the project scope development, pre-design, construction, and final design phases. Candidate will serve as a liaison between the agency, NYC Department of Transportation (DOT), NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and other client agencies as it relates to project scopes, conflicts, troubleshooting, and resolving project related issues that arise.

Lastly, the final candidate will utilize the Agency's technical resources such as Benchmark to ensure that projects meet DDC's Commitment Plan objectives; manage engineering consultants; maintain comprehensive project history e-files; coordinate project schedules; prepare project correspondence and reports; serve as the representative of the team in meetings with utility companies, and city, state, and federal agencies regarding pedestrian ramps issues; train staff in executing the team' responsibilities; participate in the recruitment efforts of the agency; and support the Associate Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, and Program Director with the team's objectives as required.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROJECT MANAGER - 8300B

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration, and five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the planning, administering or expediting of engineering design, and/or construction, or coordinating a very large engineering project, two years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity; or
2. A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and nine years of experience as described in "1" above; two years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity; or

3. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. An accredited Master's degree in one of the disciplines described in "1" above, a law degree, or a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect or Landscape Architect may be substituted for one year of the required experience. However, all candidates must have the two years of the administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory experience as described in "1" above.
