This role provides financial decision support to stakeholders focused on minimizing risk and maximizing return of program profit by managing financial requirements and program execution. Project finance is a well-rounded role that introduces an employee to the various facets of BAE Systems finance.

This role will be performed in hybrid remote format, with the individual splitting their time between one of our offices within the Southern New Hampshire region, and remotely, from an alternate work place. Depending on the assigned business area, this individual could sit in any of the following BAE Systems offices in New Hampshire: Nashua, Merrimack, Hudson, or Manchester.

As this is a longer-form interview process, given that the team is interviewing a large number of candidates for potentially several different openings, we would like to offer an outline of our interview timeline to allow applicants to set expectations and plan accordingly.
Our approximate timeline, dependent on the volume of candidate response, is estimated to be as follows:
  • 6/18 (posting date) through 7/10: application review and phone screens by hiring team (hiring team members to contact candidates directly for initial screenings)
  • 7/13 to 7/24: virtual panel interviews for advancing applicants, via MS Teams
  • 7/24 to 8/14: job offers relayed to chosen applicants
Again, this is an approximate timeline, subject to change based on certain variables, but this will be our intended schedule.

Responsibilities include:
  • Perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Prepare program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled
  • Utilizing strong communication skills to interface with a cross functional program team, including Project Managers, Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Operations, and Master Planning
  • Support interactions with external customers and subcontractors as required
  • Utilizing both BAE Systems and defense industry finance tools to perform predictive financial analysis in order to determine plausibility of meeting program objectives
  • Creating, maintaining, and monitoring program baselines utilizing earned value management
  • Assisting in program risk and opportunity management
  • Developing and updating financial forecast and estimates at completion
  • Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements, internal and external proposal support through pricing basis of estimates, compiling cost volumes, and preparing request for bid approvals (RBA)
  • Partnering with Pricing organization to support new business proposals as required
