Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA exciting opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join the Integrated Survivability Solutions (ISS) Product Line within the Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) Business Area of BAE Systems Aerospace and Mission Systems (AMS) Segment. This candidate would serve as the finance lead for the SALT sustainment programs in the lasers portfolio (Optics and Countermeasures (OCM) program area). In addition, this individual will be responsible for the Multi-Class Soft Kill System (MCSKS) development program which also falls in our laser portfolio.
This individual will be responsible for the financial execution and analysis including planning and baseline integrity, internal reporting, Earned Value Management, compliance and financial salient forecasting. The candidate will be expected to provide financial support, expertise, and guidance to program managers and control account managers.
The candidate would be a self-starting individual who acts as a full-business partner. The individual will work cross-functionally to provide value-added data analysis and recommendations to support program team decisions. This opportunity offers the employee line of sight into the broader lasers portfolio and an opportunity to work closely with the program area leadership.
This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, therefore, it will be conducted in a
hybrid work format with
time split between working onsite and remotely. To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must either currently reside within a reasonable daily commute of our offices in Merrimack, NH, or be willing to relocate to the area at their own expense. Full-time remote is not an option for this particular role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements
- Support the development, review and presentation of financial forecasts, including the Operating Plan, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and the long-term Integrated Business Plan (IBP)
- Through pricing basis of estimates, and preparing request for bid approvals (RBA)
- Reporting & presenting financials to management
- Serving as a full business partner to the program teams
- Working with the contracts function for funding, billings, and other contractual items
- Creating and influencing program baselines through earned value management
- Developing and monitoring program risks and opportunities
- Developing financial forecasts and analyzing estimates at completion
- Coordinating team meetings and reviews
- Ensure compliance to internal controls while seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement

Required Skills and Education- Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment
- Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
Preferred Skills and Education- Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, ProPricer and Cobra
- Experience with project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment
- Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines
- Experience with proposals
- Understanding and knowledge industry practices and standards as well as company policies
