Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA challenging opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join the Integrated Survivability Solutions Product Line within the Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) Business Area of BAE Systems Aerospace and Mission Systems (AMS) Segment. This candidate would serve as the finance lead on the active Longshot OTAs and Prophet IRADs within the International Strategic Air (ISA) product area within ISS.
The ISA portfolio is in the beginning stages of transitioning groundbreaking technology developed on IRAD into the customer community. The portfolio is currently executing two OTAs with line of sight on a broad customer community to expand into. This individual will be responsible for the financial management of these programs within the portfolio, internal reporting, Earned Value Management System, financial salient forecasting and analysis, and support to risk and opportunities development. The candidate will be expected to provide leadership and guidance to the program manager and functional team.
This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, therefore, it will be conducted in a a
hybrid work format, with
time split between working onsite and remotely. To be considered for this opportunity,
applicants must either currently reside within a reasonable daily commute of our offices in Merrimack, NH, or be willing to relocate to the area at their own expense.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a cross functional team and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Serving as the Finance partner to program manager and functional team
- Supporting, reviewing and influencing program baselines through earned value management
- Developing financial forecasts and reviewing/analyzing estimates at completion
- Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements
- Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Interfacing with customers as required and serving as a consultant for external communications
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions and leadership in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner
- Proposal support through participating in strategy discussion, kick-off preparation, proposal preparation/review, fact-finding, statements of position, and negotiations
- Developing creative solutions to problems and driving change
- Has/able to obtain a Secret Clearance to support classified programs

Required Skills and Education- Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Prior Program Controls experience working with various contract types
- Ideally a working knowledge of Earned Value Management
- Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional work teams
- Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to communicate and present financial data to various functions and varying levels of management
- Experience with Financial forecasting and analysis
- Recent experience in the Defense Industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, in particular, Excel and Power Point
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
Preferred Skills and Education- Experience with Cobra, Excel, Oracle, Hyperion (Smartview) and ProPricer
- Ability to challenge and improve knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies
- Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers.
- Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines
