Summary

Duties

Help

  • You will develop and present, or provide input to, or participate in briefings of, training related materials.
  • You will apply knowledge of Nuclear Weapons Security Systems to the development of Nuclear Weapons Security (NWS) Training Systems in support of the Marine Corps Security Force Battalions (MCSFBns).
  • You will charter and lead the Integrated Nuclear Weapons Security System (INWSS) Training Systems Working Group (ITSWG), a collaborative environment for holistic training systems management across all INWSS stakeholders.
  • You will develops and maintain INWSS training systems functional requirements.
  • You will evaluate the effectiveness and suitability of deployed NWS training systems via the establishment, recording, and analysis of metrics.
  • You will develop Statement of Work (SOW) language in support of assigned efforts.
  • You will assess changes to program/project execution to determine the need for, and recommended prioritization of, changes to in-execution alignment of resources to minimize negative impacts to training programs.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.


Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: working with Nuclear Weapons Security training systems development/sustainment, budget, and contract management.

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.

This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
