Summary

Duties

Help

  • You will have knowledge and skill in applying qualitative and quantitative methods and techniques to improve the administrative support functions and program operations.

  • You will have knowledge is applied in conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs.

  • You will have skill in building flow-charts, briefs, charts, forms and other applicable documents to assigned subject areas.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.


Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 pay band (GS-11 equivalent grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to communicate moderately complex information, concepts, and ideas in an accurate, clear, concise, comprehensive, well-organized, and timely fashion to both peers and executive leadership.

- Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to evaluate programmatic, financial, or logistical data and translate it into actionable recommendations.

- Strong adaptability and demonstrated willingness to learn across diverse functional disciplines, specifically seamlessly transitioning between material reclamation, acquisition, finance, and platform execution.

- Basic understanding of; or the demonstrated aptitude to rapidly learn; DoD/Navy acquisition life-cycle frameworks, project management principles, and defense logistics.

- Proven time-management and project execution potential, including the ability to independently manage 1-2 distinct, rotational projects simultaneously while adhering to established milestones.

- Proficiency in utilizing standard enterprise software, databases, and analytical tools to develop performance metrics, track program efficiency, and prepare executive-level presentations.

- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and establish effective, professional working relationships with internal technical codes, PAPMs, and external support agencies.

- Demonstrated presentation skills with the capacity to synthesize cross-functional rotation experiences into a cohesive, high-level Capstone brief for Flag/SES or PM/DPM-level leadership.

- High level of initiative and self-motivation suitable for a rigorous career development pipeline, demonstrating a clear readiness for increased responsibility, continuous learning, and annual career progression.
