Duties

Help

  • Serves as an analyst responsible for managing and optimizing DL database platforms to consolidate and organize congressional and legislative data.
  • Tracks and analyzes legislation relevant to the Agency and provides written reports/executive summaries of such for the senior staff. Supports preparation of the DL annual budget and Program Budget Review.
  • Provides professional level support, research and analytical tasks as required, to include legislative research and database management. Administers the DL congressional information management system.
  • Leverages enterprise-approved Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to enhance predictive legislative modeling, automate complex data synthesis, and accelerate the generation of executive reporting products.
  • Analyses and defines data requirements and specifications in developing and maintaining the DL congressional information management system.
  • Acts as the DL liaison with the DLA Policy team and coordinates review/changes with the DL process owners during the review of the DL instruction.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Program Analyst your resume and supporting documentation must support:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Assembling information to be used for reports or responses to inquiries or to compose correspondence.
  • Planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.
  • Maintaining awareness of latest information concerning legislative affairs programs and issues related to legislative affairs.
  • Leveraging enterprise-approved AI tools to automate the summarization of lengthy committee hearings, floor debates, and legislative drafts.


Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
