Summary

This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; Columbus, Ohio; Fort Meade, Maryland .

Duties

Help

  • Develops action plans to meet objectives, including maintaining a tracking system for all organizational and customer assets to ensure full lifecycle visibility and accountability.
  • Develops and coordinates automation SLAs, incorporating metrics for continuous monitoring, performance tracking, and hardware/software inventory management per DISA policy.
  • Participates in conferences and committees at higher levels such as Department of Defense (DOD), DISA, Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), and other Federal agencies, including various DOD services, agencies, and components.
  • Assists customers-in defining functional requirements, ensuring the specifications for asset tracking, monitoring, and reporting are integrated into the system architecture from the initial design phase.
  • Presents customer proposals with asset tracking solutions and assists with cost-trade-off decisions to balance robust management within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

Time in Grade:

For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

Specialized Experience:

For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-12 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as: Experience ensuring capital actions comply with financial audit requirements and providing reports or supporting documentation to financial auditors; or experience processing and managing capital versus non-capital assets.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.
