Position SummaryThe Professional Services Consultant II is responsible for leading and supporting software implementation engagements for financial institution clients. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, providing product expertise, business process guidance, training, configuration support, and implementation consulting throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of professional services, consulting, software implementation, banking technology, or related experience.
- Experience working directly with clients in a customer-facing consulting role.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent client engagements.
- Experience conducting requirements gathering, business process analysis, training, and solution configuration.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Travel and Location Requirements (Required)- Must be based in the United States, Canada,
- This position requires regular travel to client locations throughout the United States.
- Candidates must be able and willing to travel as needed to support on-site client meetings, implementation activities, training, workshops, and go-live support.
- Applicants who are not authorized to work in the United States or who are unable to travel to U.S.-based client sites are not eligible for this position.
- Ability to travel approximately 50%.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with banks, credit unions, or financial services organizations.
- Experience implementing enterprise software solutions.
- Knowledge of sales, CRM, customer management, or digital banking processes.
- Project leadership or project coordination experience.
Key Responsibilities- Lead client implementation and consulting engagements.
- Conduct discovery sessions and document business requirements.
- Configure and validate software solutions to meet client needs.
- Deliver end-user and administrator training.
- Provide implementation recommendations and best practices.
- Support testing, go-live activities, and post-implementation follow-up.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve client adoption and utilization of solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $120-130K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
