Overview
This role leads a team of five to ten electromechanical technicians building propulsion inverters to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals. Joby’s production team is made up of extremely talented, hardworking, proactive, and hands-on individuals, operating in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Responsibilities
Create and maintain a safe work environment
Be the first line of support for the team
Determine who on the team will take action, and when, to build what. The “what” comes from production planners and kanban replenishment signals. This is called “production analysis” in the Toyota Production System (TPS)
Own problems’ escalations and resolutions. This requires excellent collaboration with production supervisors, maintenance, planners, inventory specialists, quality inspectors, and engineers
Lead 5S and 4S+S activities and reporting for the team’s area
Achieve training sign-off on multiple production processes, to build and troubleshoot with the team
Required
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, including team leadership or supervisory duties
- Able to work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 6pm
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work assignments
- Ability to think strategically and prioritize work assignments to meet goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computing skills
- Ability to lift 25-30lbs

Additional Information
Compensation at Joby consists of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $35-$47/hr.The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
