Job Descriptionand Responsibilities

Rocky Mountain Steel Mills is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Seamless Mill located in Pueblo, Colorado. This position offers the opportunity to lead dynamic teams, foster innovation, and drive efficiency in our production line. As a key player within our company, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, including quality assurance and safety, to maintain high standards and meet production targets.
  • Perform daily mill inspections with an eye for safety and productivity issues, coordinate with mill support groups to design and implement countermeasures
  • Use LEAN manufacturing tools to engage employees to continuously improve mill operations
  • Schedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and training
  • Onboard new bargaining employees, ensure that adequate training is taking place and complete timely 720 probation performance evaluations
  • Responsible for managing an operational and quality team during manufacturing operations and while performing operational maintenance of mechanical equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Maintain necessary inventory of mill supplies, interface with storehouse and vendors as needed for resupply and trials
  • Maintain and correct electronic and written records including shift performance, heat traceability, and quality assurance
  • Maintain coaching documents (Note to Self) for all conversations surrounding attendance, behavior, safety, and performance
  • Maintain KRONOS Pay System by reviewing, editing, and approving employee timecards daily

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000
