About the Role:

We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our Wayland, MI, facility, a leading manufacturer of non-dairy coffee creamer. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the production floor. This role ensures that production processes run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards. The supervisor leads a team of operators, technicians, and workers, focusing on maximizing productivity, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to production workers, including assigning day to day tasks and ensuring production targets and schedules are met.
  • Coordinate production workflows, monitor production lines, and ensure equipment and materials are available.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies during all production processes.
  • Conduct training and development programs for new hires and existing staff to maintain skill levels.
  • Monitor and evaluate worker performance and provide constructive feedback, including corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure products meet required quality standards through regular inspections and testing.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues, collaborating with quality control and engineering teams as necessary.
  • Monitor production processes to prevent defects and minimize waste.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Ensure the production area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety audits and hold regular safety meetings to promote a culture of safety on the production floor.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and maintenance logs.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports on production performance, including any issues or improvements.
  • Document all safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, and follow up with necessary investigations or corrective actions.
  • Lead and collaborate with other departments to participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain Dimensions (time keeping) for all hourly employees, and production records and accurately complete all reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and plant policies and procedures, including collective bargaining agreements.

  • This is a full-time, onsite role on night shift.
  • The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $ 76,200.00 - 114,200.00 USD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay. organizational needs.
