Full Job Description
Ensures a safe and productive operation with optimal use of resources. Supervises and develops a team of production staff to continually improve safety, talent, quality, production, and delivery performance. Drives a culture of problem solving for continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Please note: This position is 100% onsite and requires regular presence during core operating hours (typically between 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. EST) including rotating weekends. Hours may change based on operational needs.

Standard Duties:

  • Responsible for attaining daily Key Performance Indicators for area managed to include safety, talent, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement.
  • Conducts audits to include LPA, EHS, 5S, and others as assigned.
  • Ensures that operational processes within and across other shifts are being followed consistently to include:
    • Standard work, work instructions, process sheets, TCPs, and other area specific documentation.
  • Consistently applies and executes policies and standards.
  • Organizes material and inventory to reach productions targets and work in process goals.
  • Evaluates production needs and assigns/adjusts available resources to meet daily demand.
  • Strategically analyze production data to develop and execute action plan for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures all equipment is routinely maintained for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 TPM activities as applicable.
  • Supervises training processes for a team of production staff across multiple departments and may include multiple shifts.
  • Coach/develop Team Leaders and Area Leaders.
  • Assess and complete performance reviews to contain qualitative and quantitative constructive feedback by aligning with HR Business Partner and Manager.
  • Responsible for completing time keeping accurately and reasons for absences updated daily for area managed.
  • Drive daily Maintenance prioritization based on production needs.
  • Facilitate daily Team Leader review meeting for coaching and development.
  • Lead/collaborate with cross-functional groups to understand opportunities and facilitate resolutions across other shifts.
  • Active participant in regular core team meeting to drive KPIs utilizing pareto analysis and problem solving tools to include A3, 8D, and Shainin.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred
  • 2+ years' experience leading hourly employees required
  • Experience with computer technology and basic Microsoft Office skills required
  • Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes.
