Position Summary

Located in North America's wind belt, Davenport proudly stands at the forefront of renewable electricity technology. Our factory works to do our part to care for the environment, like investing in renewable electricity, conserving water and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Since 1927, it has been home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities. Originally focused on cereal production, the factory transitioned to become a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90s. Today, it holds the distinction of being the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S. With utmost care, our dedicated team in Davenport produces, packages, and ships a wide range of our beloved brands including Dog Chow, Puppy Chow, Alpo, Beneful, Purina ONE, Cat Chow, Friskies, and Kit N Kaboodle.

As a Production Supervisor, you'll lead by example as you foster and engage in a culture of standards that promotes the highest level of safety and quality throughout our processes. Coach and develop a team of technicians who will work across functions to ensure top-notch equipment performance throughout the operation day. Oversee your team's career development as you help them achieve performance goals in their area of responsibility.

  • Monitor and ensure development of team through progression plan adherence.
  • Oversee performance of team including coaching, issuing corrective actions, issuing recognition, recommending promotions, and monitoring full associate life cycle.
  • Coach and develop staff on continuous improvement efforts, TPM, and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate with cross functional factory leadership team to ensure end-to-end performance success.
  • Coordinate work schedules, overtime, and Permits to Work.
  • Utilize problem-solving and tools available to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Lead projects focused on performance improvement, factory goals, and personal development including sponsorship of continuous improvement efforts within the facility.
  • Deliver key performance indicators within assigned area of responsibility in the factory including operational efficiency, downtime, and staffing utilization.

The approximate pay range for this position is $66,000 to $106,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
