Production Supervisor - Mid Shift
Salary Range: $75,000 - $110,000 annually (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Mid Shift - Approximately 6:00 PM (or 7:00 PM) start time, working a 9-hour shift.

Position Summary:
Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations during a newly created Mid Shift. This position provides leadership across the transition between 2nd and 3rd shift operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, safety expectations, and customer commitments are consistently achieved.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys coaching employees, solving production challenges, and driving continuous improvement. Experience within aerospace manufacturing is highly preferred; however, candidates with strong leadership experience in complex manufacturing environments will also be considered.

This position is responsible for supporting late 2nd shift operations while providing leadership during the start-up of 3rd shift, ensuring smooth communication and production continuity between shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate employees engaged in manufacturing precision aerospace components.
- Lead production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.
- Coach, mentor, and develop hourly employees while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.
- Monitor key manufacturing metrics including production output, OEE, TPM, scrap, quality, and delivery performance.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
- Maintain production schedules, staffing plans, and labor allocation.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and other departments to resolve production challenges.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Support effective communication and shift handoffs between 2nd and 3rd shift operations.
- Maintain accurate production records and performance reporting.

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of supervisory, lead, or production leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and employee coaching skills.
- Experience leading hourly manufacturing teams.
- Experience with production scheduling, KPIs, OEE, TPM, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Sheet metal fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing experience (highly preferred).
- Experience supporting precision manufacturing operations.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience working in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience supervising multiple production departments or shifts.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or other technical discipline preferred.
- Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.
