DescriptionPrimary Role: Ensure the successful production activities of a single shift. Manage the daily production related KPI's for singular shift. Support a strong employee culture through the reinforcement of Latham's Core Values
Typical work hours include Day shift operation, Monday through Friday. OT as per business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Follow company safety policies and programs to promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility
- Supervise operations to ensure positive labor efficiency and variance through proper usage of personnel
- Maintain high level of quality throughout the manufacturing process
- Effectively create an environment for thinking. Empower direct reports through ownership and accountability to maximize the value they create within the company
- Follow training and cross training program and implement for production staff
- Responsible for production, meeting daily schedule to ensure on- time delivery while minimizing overtime
- Inspecting finished goods for defects and ensuring products meet quality specifications
- Assisting in the movement of raw materials, equipment, and finished products throughout the facility.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements to solve the problems
- Submit reports on performance and progress to direct manager
- Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Facilitate daily shift meetings
- Hands on tasking is an integral part of the role. Working alongside direct reports to meet daily production schedule.

Qualifications:- Minimum of HS Diploma with experience; Management or Technical college degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering related function
- Computer and keyboarding skills -Excel, Databases, and Word Processing
- Experience with any ERP and payroll systems is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are necessary to be successful in the role
- Experience with power tools is preferred
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary, including extended hours
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience desired
- Good understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations
- Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms, prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use, ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly
Wages: Hourly weekly pay: Range $40 to $44 an hour depending on skills and experience.
