Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Management or Technical college degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering-related function.
• Proficient with Excel, databases, and word processing software.
• Familiarity with ERP and payroll systems is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints required.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience with power tools preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime, including extended hours when necessary.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to company safety policies and programs.
• Supervise production operations to ensure efficient labor usage and minimal variances.
• Ensure high-quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
• Create an empowering environment that encourages ownership and accountability among direct reports.
• Implement training and cross-training programs for production staff effectively.
• Meet daily production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and minimize overtime.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and are defect-free.
• Assist with the movement of raw materials, equipment, and finished products as needed.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify and address efficiency issues.
• Prepare and submit performance reports to the direct manager.
• Facilitate daily shift meetings to communicate job expectations and provide employee support.
• Engage in hands-on tasks alongside direct reports to achieve daily production goals.
