Job Description Summary
GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead front-line manufacturing operations within our electronics assembly environment. This role is responsible for supervising hourly production employees, including radio assembly technicians and SMT operators, overseeing daily production schedules, and ensuring safety, quality, and delivery objectives are met. The Production Supervisor will drive operational excellence by fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with quality standards and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical manufacturing expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise front-line manufacturing employees, including managing hourly production staff to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure output targets are met in alignment with assembly schedules and customer requirements.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management to production team members while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all electronic assemblies meet IPC standards, customer specifications, and company quality requirements; support troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing issues.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, increase yield, and reduce waste.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls, cleanroom procedures, and all company safety policies.
  • Monitor equipment performance, material flow, and staffing levels to optimize operational efficiency and labor utilization.
  • Maintain accurate production records, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular operational updates to manufacturing leadership.
  • Apply technical knowledge and sound judgment to resolve production challenges within established procedures, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop a strong understanding of key business drivers and how team performance contributes to overall operational success.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to employees, leadership, customers, and other stakeholders while building strong working relationships across the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Ability to work 1st Shift (7am-4pm) with occasional Saturday work required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in electronics, PCB assembly, or high-precision manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of SMT and Through-Hole PCB assembly processes; IPC-A-610 certification preferred
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $76,300.00 and $114,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
