Production Supervisor - Fabrication/Welding2nd shift 2:30pm-11pm
Summary of Responsibilities: Functions as a working supervisor for individuals involved with Value Stream and/or Manufacturing Engineering operations. This position will be responsible for working with Value Stream Managers to develop metrics that feed into corporate goals and communicate progress and gap closure in response to these metrics.
What You'll DoAs a Production Supervisor, you'll be part of our team located in Hesston, KS. You'll get to:
- Coach and train direct reports who are engaged in providing technical support for value stream. (Approx. 40%)
- Develop metrics that feed into corporate goals. Communicate goals and progress to reports and Value Stream manager. Continual Kaizen to close gaps as needed. (Approx.30%)
- Gemba - go and see the process. Look for and coach flow, safety, 5S, standard work, and visual processes. (Approx. 20%)
- Participate in daily huddles (Approx. 5%)
- Perform daily employee time sheets and routine Human Resources paperwork (Approx. 5%)

Education: - High School /GED diploma required
- Associate's degree preferred
Experience:- Minimum of three to five years of past supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
Required Skills:- Production and value stream experience in manufacturing
- Experience utilizing Lean tools to measure and improve the departments Key Performance Indicators (i.e. VSM, SMED, 5s, TPM, Kaizen, etc.).
- Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software.
- Interpersonal skills and decision making ability.
- Verbal and written skills. Communicates effectively with employees, upper management, and customers.
- Must be able to give and receive feedback in order to correct behavior.
- Motivation and self-starting initiative is required.
- Management and leadership skills are required.
- Organizational skills, ability to handle multiple task and manage priorities.

The Salary range for this position is $63,800.00 - $102,700.00
