JOB TITLE: Production Supervisor
PAY: $38-42/hr.JOB SUMMARY:The Production Supervisor serves as the working lead for daily manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for overseeing production flow, coordinating schedules and priorities, supporting Production Coordinators, and ensuring work moves efficiently through the facility to meet customer commitments.
The Production Supervisor works closely with production teams, scheduling, customer service, maintenance, and operations leadership to ensure production objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and on time. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Production Supervisor is expected to actively participate in production planning, coordination, problem-solving, and workflow management while providing day-to-day direction and support to Production Coordinators. This position is not responsible for personnel management functions such as hiring, performance reviews, attendance management, or disciplinary actions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Working Lead Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead coordinator for daily production operations.
- Establish and communicate production priorities to Production Coordinators.
- Provide guidance, support, and direction regarding production schedules and workflow.
- Assist in resolving production bottlenecks, scheduling conflicts, and operational challenges.
- Lead by example through active involvement in daily production activities.
- Ensure production objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for production flow and coordination issues.
Production Flow & Coordination:
- Monitor and oversee the flow of work throughout the manufacturing process.
- Coordinate production schedules to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Work with Production Coordinators to prioritize work orders and production requirements.
- Identify and address issues that may impact throughput, efficiency, quality, or delivery performance.
- Collaborate with scheduling, shipping, customer service, and operations teams to ensure alignment.
- Assist in balancing workloads and resources across production areas.
Operational Execution:
- Track production progress and communicate status updates to leadership.
- Monitor daily production performance and proactively address obstacles.
- Support efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and production capacity.
- Ensure production information is accurate and communicated effectively between departments.
- Promote accountability and execution throughout the production process.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, workflow, communication, and throughput.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements.
- Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements.
- Support company initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and customer service.

- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Previous manufacturing, production, operations, or production coordination experience required.
- Experience leading workflow, projects, or operational activities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Daily Work Expectations: Extensive computer work and interaction with team leaders, team members and public. Required to work independently.
Work Environment/Conditions: Active office environment involving many interruptions daily. Environment may become stressful at times. Most of work will be done at an office desk. Much of the job will require team member to sit and use hands and fingers for input on keyboard.
Required Work Hours: Primarily a 40-hour work week. Scheduled work hours can vary based on the seasonality of Bayer Built Woodworks, Inc.
