Full Job Description
We are looking for a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift - 2:30p-11:30p. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.

. This role is critical to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a dynamic results-driven Production Supervisor to support operations on the 8DJH GIS line at our facility in Wendell, NC, sharing leadership responsibility as part of an expanding supervisory team

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations, including workforce management, process optimization, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, meeting production targets, and supporting strategic initiatives that align with our long-term business goals.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Lead, plan, and manage daily production activities to meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) targets.
  • Supervise and develop a team of production associates, ensuring high levels of engagement, performance, and accountability.
  • Champion 6S, Safety, and Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Planning teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Optimize labor and equipment utilization to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
  • Utilize the Tier Meeting process to track and assess key operational metrics and implement actions and methods to improve operational performance.
  • Direct day-to-day activities in production areas, including manpower movement, job assignments, time/attendance/vacation data, and pull the workload to meet all customer needs in the most effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes by coordinating resources and ensuring readiness on the production floor.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve cycle times.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, labor hours, and material usage in SAP.
  • Manage production order workflows and updates in Salesforce.com.
  • Oversee time and attendance tracking using Dayforce, ensuring accurate payroll and compliance.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, customer visits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation across the team.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production setting.
  • Working knowledge of SAP in a manufacturing context.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and 5S implementation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in switchboard or electrical equipment assembly and manufacturing
  • Technical training or certifications in manufacturing, operations, or lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean Certification.

The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $105,509 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
