Job Highlights

The Production supervisor - Second Shift Operations will be the sole management representative on site during second shift operations and will provide oversight and management for all plant operations on the second shift including packaging, shipping, receiving, blending, grease and chemical reaction operations, quality, and maintenance workers. This position will have direct reports of approximately 11-20 operators in these areas collectively consisting of FTs and contract labor and will be responsible for scheduling of equipment, assignment of work, and plan attainment.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Production supervisor will provide oversight and managing for the all production operations during second shift.
  • Support production planning/goal, perform all related production task activities, inventory control and SAP transaction.
  • Monitor and track performance, KPI and optimize workforce to meet requirements.
  • Provide hands on support to manufacturing operations including line setup, training, and/or production coverage if needed.
  • Work on cross functional team and provide supervisory support to Packaging and shipping/receiving.
  • Support plant initatives, compliace, safety, quality and process improvement, maintain good housekeeping, 6S activities.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support all Safety activities Lock out Tag out, PTHA, JSA, safety Inspections by taking ownership.
  • Participate in PHA discussion, compliance Audit and follow up on action items.
  • Additional task assigned or required based on business needs.


Experience / Skills

  • Education Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Prior plant operations supervisory experience is strongly preferred; prior experience in a manufacturing plant is required.
  • Willing to work additional/extended hours on a as needed basis to meet productions goals.
  • Candidate must have strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be familiar with and able to work in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SAP.
