Job Overview

Hubbell is on the search for a Production Supervisor for our Chatsworth, CA facility to be part of a growing, dynamic, and diverse team. The person selected for this role will have the ability to make recommendations and improvements that will directly impact the site's processes and procedures. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading the manufacturing activities of the assigned group by providing direction and coaching. The Supervisor will ensure team members receive the required training and will prepare the daily work plans in support of overall production goals and objectives using SAP EWM. The position will be compensated based on experience, pay range is expected to be $80k-$90k per year.

A Day In The Life

A day in the life:
• Scheduling work assignments, vacations, and ensure accurate time reporting for Hourly Employees.
• Resolving team conflict and manage personnel issues that may arise in partnership with Human Resources.
• Creating and promoting a positive and inclusive culture built on respect and professionalism.
• Implementing and enforcing Company safety guidelines in partnership with EHS to ensure employees work in a safe manner consistent with Hubbell policies and procedures.
• Conducting shift start-up meetings, communicate production objectives, and addressing operational challenges.
• Planning work assignments to achieve maximum utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
• Communicating to management any changes or conditions which may affect production.
• Working with Human Resources concerning employee or labor relations matters.
• Partnering with Human Resources concerning employee or labor relations matters.

This position will be focusing in the Assembly Department with the following expectations:
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Verifying product configurations against Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and customer requirements.
• Ensuring products are assembled correctly and meet design, dimensional, and quality specifications.
• Investigating and resolving assembly discrepancies, material shortages, and production-related issues.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams to implement design changes and process improvements.
• Working with Material Control personnel concerning production schedules, parts, etc. Providing feedback on status of schedule and needs for change.
• Utilizing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to manage production and inventory transactions.
• Coordinating completed product transfers from assembly operations to the shipping yard.
• Ensure shipping documentation, product identification, labeling, and staging requirements are completed accurately.
