Job Description
Lead the charge in transforming LEGO's injection molding operations, driving safety, quality, and innovation while developing a high-performing team in acutting-edgemanufacturing environment.
*This position will start with a general administrative shift (8 AM to 4 PM) until the manufacturing site completes the ramp-up stage. Afterwards, it will transition to leading the 2nd shift schedule, which will be a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule.
Core Responsibilities
Lead daily injection molding operations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient production performance.
Drive production performance through data-driven decision making and operational excellence.
Coordinate activities across teams including Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Automation, and Quality.
Oversee moldsetupand changeovers to align with production schedules and capacity requirements.
Promote a strong safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with LEGO safety requirements and regulatory standards.
Develop and lead a high-performing teamfostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Identifyand implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance production flow and manufacturing efficiency.

The Injection Molding Operations department at LEGO Manufacturing Virginia is a pivotal part of the production process, responsible for crafting the iconic LEGO® elements that inspire creativity worldwide. This department integratescutting-edgetechnology and innovative practices to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. By fostering collaboration across various functions such as Engineering, Automation, and Quality, the team drives operational excellence and continuous improvement.
As a Production Group Leader, you play a crucial role in supporting the broader organization by leading this dynamic department. Your leadership ensures seamlessoperations,optimalresource utilization, and the development of a skilled workforce. By aligning production goals with LEGO's strategicobjectives, you contribute to the company's mission of delivering exceptional products that delight customers and uphold LEGO's reputation for excellence.
Do youhavewhat it takes?
A degree or technical training in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or Automationis desired.Experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within injection molding or highly automated environments.
Must have:
Demonstrated leadership experience managing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of injection molding processes, mold setup, process validation, and troubleshooting.
Proven success in driving operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience with highly automated manufacturing systems, including robotics and digital platforms.
Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team,fosteringcollaboration and accountability.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
Nice to have:
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality management systems like ISO 9001.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance coordination and equipment reliability strategies.
Background in plastics technology or related fields.
Strong analytical skills to identify production trends and improvement opportunities.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration with engineering and automation teams.
Ability to adapt to changing business demands and operational conditions.
Proficiency in digital manufacturing systems and data-driven decision-making.
Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $84,674.00 - $127,010.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
