Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in a supervisory role within food or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance systems such as GMP, HACCP, and SQF.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant field-specific software.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP and UKG Scheduling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety improvement programs.
  • Support the Production Supervisor in employee relations, including training and performance reviews.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the Production team.
  • Promote a positive employee relations atmosphere and enhance teamwork.
  • Apply best practices for product evaluation, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Support HACCP team operations for third-party audits and maintain SQF/HACCP status.
  • Monitor plant equipment efficiency and ensure timely production requirements are met.
  • Achieve departmental budgets by measuring and improving productivity and processes.

  • Hourly Rate: $39.02/hr.
  • Schedule will be Monday to Friday 3pm to 11pm.

Your role in achieving results:

  • Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations, and the ability to implement programs to improve safety culture.
  • Responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor in employee relations including work direction of employees, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, and disciplinary action.
  • Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the Production team.
  • Promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.
  • Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropur's quality standards.
  • Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation are suitable for third party/customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP status at the plant.
  • Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources and ensure production requirements are met on time.
  • Responsible for achieving department budgets in the area of labour costs by measuring and improving productivity and processes.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
  • Results driven, bottom-line orientated, strives to exceed goals, and motivates self and others to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrate ability to drive organizational change through strong interpersonal and communication skills and formal problem-solving techniques.
  • In the Production Supervisor's absence, such as vacations or sick time, you will be responsible for assuming the role of Supervisor for your shift.
  • Participate in First Aid Training in order to support the shift in First Aid.


What we are looking for to deliver these results:

  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems (GMP, HACCP and SQF).
  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and field-specific software.
  • Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience is an asset.
  • Experience supervising in food or pharma industry would be an asset
  • UKG Scheduling experience would be considered an asset.
