  • Track corrective actions and conduct risk assessments to address operational gaps, facilitating smooth transitions to production.
  • Act as a technical advisor to Multi-Functional Teams to resolve manufacturing risks and readiness challenges.

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a PPV Leader to join our Manufacturing & Quality Engineering department based in Mobile, Alabama.

You will be part of a team developing industrial process qualification and manufacturing system capability. As part of the Production Process Verification (PPV) team, you will be involved in evaluating manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality gates aiming at ensuring manufacturing systems are fully capable of serial production at scale to support industrial ramp-up.

Your Challenges
  • Industrial Process Qualification: Serve as the designated PPV Leader (per A2715), coordinating technical reviews of manufacturing systems to prove they can repeatably produce conforming items in serial mode.
  • Evidence & Readiness Validation: Technical assessment of compliance evidence, ensuring Jigs & Tools (J&T) are qualified, Control/Inspection plans are active, and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) is completed.
  • First Article & Routing Analysis: Oversee First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify the as-built product matches Engineering Specifications, and analyze Routing Comparison Sheets for serial readiness.
  • Risk Mitigation & Gap Resolution: Track technical corrective actions, perform risk assessments on operational gaps, and drive project closure to ensure a smooth transition to full-rate production.
  • Multi-Functional Team (MFT) Support: Act as a technical advisor to MFT stakeholders to resolve complex industrial risks and production readiness issues.

  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience in an Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Control environment (New Product Introduction / Industrialization experience is highly preferred).
  • Technical Quality Core: Hands-on experience with quality methodologies, including PFMEA, FAI, PPAP/APQP, and MSA.
  • Project Coordination: Proven ability to manage multiple complex technical projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Systems & Data Literacy: Advanced proficiency in MS Office / Google Suite (Excel/Sheets); experience with ERP/PLM systems such as SAP is a plus.
  • Soft Skills & Influence: High degree of initiative with demonstrated ability to influence Multi-Functional Team (MFT) stakeholders without direct authority to resolve technical roadblocks.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work on-site in an active commercial aircraft manufacturing facility and final assembly line environment.
  • Capability to perform physical inspections of production tooling, equipment, Jigs & Tools, and aircraft components.
  • Ability to navigate shop floor areas, flightlines, and technical offices as needed to support cross-functional teams.
