Full Job Description
Position Summary:

As our Production Manager you will be responsible for supervising the assembly workforce and related activities associated with production and manufacturing. A key responsibility is to improve quality and to develop assemblers' capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of experience directly supervising a team
  • Business process engineering experience strongly desired
  • Proven history in improving quality
  • Identify resources and capex investments to support growth and improve throughput
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess solid organizational and planning skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, continuous improvement, six sigma, and lean manufacturing skills
  • Analytical thinker with demonstrated technical ability to perform root cause analysis, prepare and implement action plans, lead improvement initiatives and interface with customer's technical resources
  • Data-driven leadership. Ability to use ERP data (Infor Visual) to track schedule adherence and labor efficiency in real-time
  • Proven success in translating the assembly production schedule into realized revenue by effectively managing labor, materials, and workflow

  • Responsible for assembly processes, including the supervision of the assembly supervisor and assembly team
  • Actively improve processes, develop successful workflows, adapt to changing conditions, and develop new equipment, procedures, and policies to increase efficiency in all operations
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Actively participate in the Material Review Board, performs root cause analysis and implements corrective action on the assembly process
  • Develop capabilities of the assembly staff to ensure any job has multiple staff members who can perform the build
  • Actively participate in NPI and collaborate with engineering to ensure first time builds are delivered on time with repeatable process capability
  • You will have responsibility for analyzing business methods, delivering recommendations on how to maintain staff levels while meeting all quality standards set by the company and government regulations
  • The successful candidate will work side-by-side with management to discover inefficiencies in business processes and then determine the best ways to bring our business methods in line with our financial goals
  • Utilize business unit resources to meet customer delivery and quality commitments through identifying key issues and implementing change
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement and customer centricity
  • Identify, and implement initiatives to improve processes and reduce costs
  • Identify resources and capex investments to support growth and improve throughput
  • Oversee first-time build execution and successful transition to production
  • Establish and communicate clear goals/expectations, be transparent with the results, and hold your team accountable through recurring reviews

Pay Transparency:

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is 95,000-110,000 per year, plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
