Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all manufacturing and warehouse operations across multiple shifts in a paint and coatings production facility. This role ensures safety, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a focus on continuous improvement, and experience partnering with cross-functional teams in a chemical manufacturing environment

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide direct 1:1 leadership and communication with supervisors across three shifts to ensure alignment, consistency, and accountability in operations.
  • Drive adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards through both direct and indirect manufacturing personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements related to chemical handling, storage, and production.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of operational needs and barriers, including inventory accuracy, cook sheet compliance, adherence to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Technical Specification (TS) quality standards, and implementation of best practices.
  • Oversee production processes to maintain batch consistency, color quality, viscosity, and other key product specifications.
  • Improve accountability by reviewing process orders, identifying opportunities, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives with manufacturing teams.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of operator and warehouse training programs, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and creating effective job aids to support learning and performance.
  • Lead the completion of corrective actions for Management of Change (MOC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Nonconforming Materials (NCM), ensuring timely resolution and process improvement.
  • Champion site-wide 5S and housekeeping initiatives, setting expectations and monitoring adherence to maintain a safe and organized workplace.
  • Serve as the SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting accurate production and inventory transactions and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Track and review Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for production, identifying performance gaps and leading initiatives to improve equipment and process efficiency.
  • Act as the escalation point for supply chain-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Technical, Quality Control, and Supply Chain teams to support new product introductions, process improvements, and sustainability initiatives.

SALARY RANGE:
$89,985.14 to $149,403.00. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
