Quanex is looking for a
Production Manager to join our team located in Winnebago, IL.
The Production Manager is responsible for assuring that the 24/5 Production department runs smoothly so that customers receive materials as specified, and within agreed timeframes, while maintaining inventory levels as low as possible without causing back orders to customers.
The salary range for this position is $85K - $110K w/ bonus potential.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, hours may vary depending on business needs within this 24/5 operation.

What Success Looks Like:- Oversee all Production shifts, managing the corresponding Supervisors, or Team Leads, as applicable.
- Ensure that all Safety and Environmental requirements and processes are followed.
- Assure production meets the demand schedule in accordance with customer quality requirements, and timelines.
- Maintain daily and weekly yield reports and pounds/hour.
- Troubleshoot problem tooling online and assisting in root cause analysis in regard to all aspects of the production lines
- Plan and conduct regular team meetings using participative leadership techniques.
- Recommend and implement work process improvements.
- Provide employee development through employee advancement, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
- Cooperate and coordinate with cross-functional work teams to improve the entire Mikron team.
- Work to improve employee morale and retention.
- Manage continuous improvement projects within operations to support world class manufacturing.
Your Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree, or combination of education and associated work experience
- 5+ years previous experience within applicable industry.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to coach, and influence others.
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make and incorporate solution recommendations.
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as Production Scheduling, SAP, Time and Attendance, and Recruiting systems.
- Able to demonstrate strong professional and effective communication skills relating to employees, leaders, and other team members.
