Trayer, a Siemens business, is seeking an experienced and execution-focused Production Manager - PreFab & Fabrication to lead production operations across our Livermore and San Leandro locations. This role is responsible for driving safe, disciplined, and efficient execution across prefabrication and fabrication activities while ensuring alignment to production schedules, quality requirements, labor effectiveness, and overall plant performance expectations. This role is critical to building safe, stable, and scalable production execution across two key manufacturing locations. The Production Manager - PreFab & Fabrication will help strengthen frontline leadership, improve operating consistency, and drive the execution discipline needed to support customer delivery, quality performance, and future growth.

This role leads a broad, fabrication-focused production organization that includes laser cutting, press brake operations, copper pre-fabrication, machine shop activities, and both automated and manual welding processes. The ideal candidate is a strong manufacturing leader with hands-on shop-floor presence, the ability to lead through frontline teams, and the capability to identify operational gaps and drive improvements. This role requires a balance of daily execution leadership, people development, and continuous improvement across two production locations. Depending on organizational needs and candidate capability, the role may also support broader production leadership responsibilities across adjacent manufacturing areas.

This hybrid Production Manager - PreFab & Fabrication position will be in either San Leandro or Livermore, CA. Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The East Bay offers an excellent quality of life with top-rated schools, a pleasant climate, and easy access to both mountains and the coast. Plus, your compensation goes further here with a more attainable cost of living compared to other parts of the San Francisco Bay Area. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

  • Manage labor allocation, staffing priorities, and production execution to meet output and delivery targets.
  • Drive schedule attainment, productivity, and reliable throughput across both locations.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks, labor constraints, material shortages, equipment issues, and other disruptions affecting flow.
  • Ensure alignment of execution priorities and operating expectations across both sites.
  • Drive consistency in operating practices, performance expectations, and execution routines across Livermore and San Leandro.
Continuous Improvement & Performance Management
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, flow, productivity, waste reduction, quality, and execution reliability.
