Job Overview

Hubbell is seeking a Production Manager for our Chatsworth, CA location to provide leadership and be responsible for all aspects of the operations; personnel, productivity, and on-time delivery. The candidate will manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to process improvements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery performance utilizing business practices/processes to include 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. The Production Manager will deploy company and factory policies and strategies to staff throughout the manufacturing operation and translate them into business, team, and personnel goals. Pay for this position will range from $103k- $130k annually.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
  • Manage and coach Production Supervisors and provide development and training.
  • Maintain a safe working environment consistent with all local, state and OSHA requirements.
  • Originate, measure, and improve key indicators for the production team (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Labor effectivity, Inventory and Cost).
  • Continue to enhance the LEAN culture. Ensure the production area maintains a clean, well-organized environment through "continuous improvement" and 5S.
  • Implement and drives "continuous improvement" activities by eliminating non valued added activities in the manufacturing process (waste elimination).
  • Approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet productivity and customer requirements.
  • Establishe work requirements and ensures production schedules are met.
  • Develop Staff and a culture within the business unit dedicated to the highest levels of quality and customer service.
