Job SummaryThe Production Manager manages third-party external on-location and in-studio productions on behalf of the client. This is not a people management role. It functions more in a line producer capacity, with responsibility for productions, vendors, and workflow rather than for direct reports. Reporting to the Operations and Special Projects Lead and working alongside a Producer team, this role coordinates both internal and third-party crews, opens and manages POs, and maintains budget oversight across all productions. The ideal candidate brings an established network of crews and vendors, is fluent in remote and truck-based production, and can quickly assess and translate third-party needs into action, deploying internal resources effectively to support external shoots. This role acts autonomously as the client's representative in the field, performing discovery on in-progress productions, flagging issues in real time, and rolling up their sleeves on-site when the production demands it.

- Travel to external shoot locations as needed (approximately 25%), rolling up sleeves to support or operate on-site when the production demands it
- Translate third-party production language and requirements into actionable plans that reflect the client's standards and resource capabilities
Crew & Vendor Coordination- Source, book, and manage external production crews for on-location and remote shoots

- Coordinate internal crew deployment in support of external productions, with a strong understanding of available resources and how to activate them
- Serve as the first point of escalation for crew questions, conflicts, and on-site challenges
Budget & Procurement- Open and manage POs for all external productions, maintaining accurate budget tracking from pre-production through wrap
- Monitor spend across active productions, flagging variances and working proactively to stay within scope
- Evaluate vendor relationships and support procurement decisions that balance quality, cost, and turnaround
- Ensure all production resources are confirmed and in place ahead of each shoot day
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Report directly to the Operations and Special Projects Lead, providing regular updates on active and upcoming external productions
- Partner with the internal Producer team on pre-production planning, logistics, and post-production wrap
