Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking.
Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.
Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities- Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations.
- Production scheduling for shop operations
- Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
- Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
- Communicates with direct team and supervisor.
- Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
- Ability to work in other operations to cover as needed.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 3 years of manufacturing experience (OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 6 year's manufacturing experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
Eligibility Requirements- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
- This position is 100% onsite in Schenectady, NY.
Desired Characteristics- Engineering or management degree.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
- Manufacturing experience relevant to heavy duty equipment.
- Experience running projects in a machine shop environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Established project management skills.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
