This crucial role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure safety standards, and deliver operational excellence for a 12-month + project with a competitive target pay of $47.00/hour, with flexibility based on experience.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a shift team of operations personnel to meet production goals safely and reliably.
- Make critical operational decisions with minimal supervision, ensuring safe and efficient process unit management.
- Promote safety, security, health, and environmental standards, fostering a loss-free environment.
- Oversee emergency response activities, plan safety procedures, and conduct safety audits.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing operational data, mentoring team members, and participating in regional networks.
- Manage contractor performance, coordinate turnarounds, and support operational projects to maximize reliability and cost effectiveness.
Required Skills:
- Proven leadership and team management experience in an operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental systems-SSHE management, OIMS, and Loss Prevention.
- Exceptional communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on operational experience in the oil and gas industry, onshore or offshore.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and guide teams through abnormal and emergency situations.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with process planning, mechanical coordination, and unit or area technology.
- Familiarity with operational best practices and regional network participation.
- Previous roles such as Shift Team Leader, Process First Line Supervisor, or Operations Supervisor.
- Knowledge of contractor management and project support activities.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Relevant technical or operational background in oil and gas.
- Prior experience managing shift teams in a high-risk environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives and operational improvements.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week.
- Ability to respond swiftly to safety and operational challenges.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain relevant safety and emergency response certifications.
