  • Support design changes, configuration updates, nonconformance resolution, and implementation of approved technical changes.
  • Provide technical support during component fabrication, equipment assembly, installation, testing, and system integration.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality, safety, reliability, and repeatability.
  • Maintain production documentation and communicate status, risks, constraints, and technical issues to project stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, fabrication, assembly, or integration of complex mechanical or electromechanical systems.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, design for manufacturability, and configuration/change control.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production issues and coordinate technical solutions across engineering and operations teams.
  • Strong communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, hands-on engineering and production environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required DOE site access and security credentials.

Nice to Haves:
  • Experience supporting DOE, NNSA, national laboratory, accelerator, nuclear, defense, or other highly regulated technical programs.
  • Experience with low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing or production environments.
  • Experience with precision mechanical assemblies, vacuum systems, pressure systems, electrical/mechanical integration, or scientific equipment.
  • Familiarity with Creo, Windchill, or similar CAD and product lifecycle management systems.
  • Experience with GD&T, design for manufacturability, configuration management, or nonconformance processes.
  • Experience coordinating with machine shops, fabricators, suppliers, or other external manufacturing partners.
