Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for developing effective production plans and schedules allowing the organization to successfully execute business plans. This position will manage the value stream related to scheduling aftermarket orders focusing on KPI performance and Customer's expectations. This position will have direct reports responsible for Production Control Activity.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Experience with and understanding scheduling methodologies in a manufacturing environment balancing resources and demand focusing on bottle neck management to ensure we can successfully execute schedules on time.
  • Experience with and understanding of production control systems in an engineered make to order manufacturing environment to assure accurate information is available in time to procure the correct raw material and we build the correct product.
  • Experience with and understanding Material Requirement Planning systems related to purchase lead times directly impacting material availability to support production schedules.
  • Minimum of five years of experience with ERP systems.
  • Possess a high degree of ownership and sense of urgency in support of manufacturing schedules and plant production goals.
  • Effective oral communication skills including giving presentations that provide clear direction and one on one interaction with team members that are tailored to the individual.
  • Effective written communication skills including the ability to produce professional documents, emails, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and motivate teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Project management skills including, setting a vision, establishing and driving timelines, and division of responsibility to balance skills and work load.
  • Ability to develop and manage Key Process Indicators that drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including charting, graphing, and analysis functions in Excel, effective use of Word to create documentation and shared resources, and the generation of compelling communications in PowerPoint.
  • Analytical thinking demonstrated by the ability to solve problems using a logical, systemic, and sequential approach.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Operations Management, or Accounting).
  • APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management preferred.


NATURE & SCOPE

  • This position will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Direct interaction with Finance, Purchasing, Traffic, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Customer Service.
  • Create production and shipping schedules utilizing the ERP system to maintain the integrity of the inventory and provide accurate inputs to Material Requirements Planning with a focus on managing performance KPI's, employee morale, and customer's expectations.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop direct reports. Use appropriate methods and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide the team toward success related to business objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Verify Bill of Materials and Submittals are correct working with Customer Service and Engineering.
  • Utilize ERP system to assure the integrity of the inventory and on time delivery to the customer.
  • Interface between Customer Service and Factory execution.
  • Analyze and prepare reports related to Customer Orders, Finished Goods, and Production Status. Assure information is cohesive between actual state of production and inventory with the ERP system.
  • Schedule utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning and Power BI software. Assure all workflow and information is complete to successfully manage production orders allowing timely visibility in Material Requirements Planning.
  • Create and maintain Production Schedules by balancing machine, manning, and material resources to optimize plant efficiency.
  • Create and maintain Production Schedules to assure we meet on time delivery related to customer expectations, traffic logistics, and Internal Business Goals.
  • Provide all the necessary information to Manufacturing to assure we build to product specifications.
  • Assure the effectiveness and efficiency of Production Control Processes.
  • Identify and manage Key Process Indicators that drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager or Plant Manager.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the North American Supply Chain Team on projects to improve business processes related to quality, service, and performance.
  • Spend time in the factory as necessary to understand product, material flow, and flow of information.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The working environment includes lifting up to 50lbs. Standing is to be expected up to 50% of the time. Additional activities include walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and sitting. Fine hand manipulation of controls is needed as well as hand eye coordination to perform changes. Exposures include elevated noise levels associated with a manufacturing environment, fluctuations in temperature ambient conditions as well as intermittent exposure to the weather in and about the yard and dock areas. Working hours can include any of three shifts and generally are scheduled for forty hours a week. Some weekend overtime is expected. Working temperatures include both wide fluctuations within the plant as well as ambient outside temperatures. This position requires occasional domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

BAC Hiring Compensation Range $70,304 to $118,800
