THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE LOCATED IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Control/Materials Manager will ensure uninterrupted flow of material to inventory and the shop floor while maximizing material throughput in support of all company production requirements. Position is responsible for coordinating the planning and preparation of complete Bill-of-Materials and routings necessary to develop schedules for Purchasing, Manufacturing and Inventory. Responsible for the oversight of processes and controls for all aspects of Inventory, to include but not limited to receiving, stocking and inventory accuracy.

Priority interviews will be given to candidates with demonstrated leadership acumen and proven team leadership experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directs and coordinates activities of company personnel engaged in procurement, internal movement, and processing of commercial parts, equipment, and machinery and supplies.
  • Supervises adherence to production, inventory and shipping schedules for both production and customer service units.
  • Lead work effort in the development of new usable Bill-of-Material structures and alignment with planning protocols.
  • Manages cost center budget and cost controls.
  • Reconciles Work Order completion discrepancies and assures data integrity is maintained.
  • Works with Operations Manager to monitor compliance by purchasing to meet on dock date requirements for material.
  • Works with Operations Manager and purchasing to monitor and ensure safety stock levels are accurate and/or adjusted as required.
  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of all reporting requirements from each functional area, to include Shipping, Retro's/Warranties and Inventory.
  • Provides machine costing support as needed
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Takes ownership of building a positive team culture; builds morale and team commitments to achieve goals and objectives; leads by example; inspires and motivates others to succeed.
  • Manages, trains and motivates Material Department, Part Sales Shipping and Retrofit team members to meet customer needs
  • Supervises assigned employees in accordance with the company's polices and applicable laws
  • Directs plans and assigns planning workloads as required.
  • Conducts appraisal of employee performances in conjunction with organization guidelines and timelines.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (BA): or five years of related experience and/or training in manufacturing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read Blueprints.
  • 8 years of experience in materials handling
  • 3 years minimum experience in leadership

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, phone, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.
  • Ability to move throughout office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to visually inspect materials, inventory, documentation, and production activity.
  • Ability to travel between facilities, supplier locations, warehouses, or customer sites as needed.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to moving equipment, forklifts, variable temperatures, noise, and industrial dust.


Compensation: $75,000-95,000 (DOE)
