Full Job Description
Amentum is seeking an experienced Product Support Lead to support Soldier Lethality Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. This position will be on-site daily and is designed to administer the key oversight and management tasks of the Product Support Manager (PSM), with the Director of Logistics providing final sign-off on all inherently governmental functions. This position requires a senior-level expert who can manage complex programs and provide strategic recommendations. This position is not yet funded, position contingent upon funding award. Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update, and maintain the Product Support Strategy (PSS) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP).
  • Develop and provide logistics and product support input for all acquisition documents.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to validate the product support strategy and inform decisions.
  • Manage the implementation of the approved product support strategy across the portfolio.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of product support integrators and providers.
  • Oversee the development of milestone schedules for all Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities.
  • Monitor and analyze reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) data to recommend improvements.
  • Serve as the lead advisor to the Director of Logistics on the status of product support and sustainment issues.
  • Chair or co-chair the Product Support Management Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Maintain liaison with PEO Soldier, TACOM, CECOM, DEVCOM, and other key organizations.
  • Review and provide recommendations on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and their impact on logistics.
  • Identify and analyze diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare briefings and materials for the Director of Logistics to use at milestone reviews and budget hearings.


Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in DoD acquisition logistics, with at least 5 years serving in a leadership role such as a senior Product Support Integrator (PSI), Logistics Manager, or Deputy PSM for a major weapon system.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Recognized as a technical/functional authority in Army acquisition logistics and life cycle management.
  • Mastery of the policies, concepts, and theories of logistics management (e.g., DoDI 5000 series, AR 700-127).
  • Expertise in developing, updating, and implementing a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) and Product Support Strategy (PSS).
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), facilitate meetings, and build consensus among a wide variety of stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to succinctly and effectively communicate complex logistics issues to multiple levels of authority.
  • Data Analysis & AI: Experience leveraging AI tools and advanced data analytics to manage large troves of logistics data, improve sustainment strategies, and generate insights.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous familiarity working with a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan.
  • Possess expertise in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Prior military experience with new equipment training or fielding.
  • Previous experience as a product support provider.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Defense Acquisition University related to Life Cycle Logistics.
