Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience managing complex systems, cross-functional stakeholder groups, and large-scale change management initiatives.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data to uncover insights, with an ability to synthesize and simplify complex information into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, combined with outstanding business judgment, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to represent complex business or technical concepts with senior leadership.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google's functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The Education team's mission is to transform learning and teaching at scale. We do this by helping K-12 and higher education institutions around the world bring the best of Google tools and technology to their organizations. We've made significant headway on this journey. With AI, the potential for technology to enhance education is greater than ever.

The Strategy and Operations team will help shape the cross-Google narrative for Google Education, translating our high-level outlook into an operational reality, ensuring our business is run effectively. In this role, you will have the defining opportunity to transform teaching and learning for students globally. By harnessing learning science and the breakthrough capabilities being developed across Google, you will shape the future of education.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $150000 - $217000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end operational aptitude to ensure flawless execution of the highest-priority goals.
  • Lead strategic projects that are operationally intensive and cross-functional to ensure there is structure and timely delivery of project goals.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators and timelines for each project, regular metrics reporting that tie back to strategic goals, and post-implementation impact analysis.
  • Lead OKR scoring to ensure we are making progress against our ambitious goals, identifying areas of softness where we should double down. Support annual planning activities for the Edu portfolio.
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders on critical strategic initiatives.
