Full Job Description
Product Specialist Applied Visions is a software development company focused on creating visual solutions to solve complex problems across multiple industries. We are seeking a product specialist to assist in developing and maintaining a vision for the product and be responsible for communicating the vision to the scrum team. This extends from authoring user stories and acceptance criteria that deliver an outstanding user experience to maintaining a well-managed product backlog and development lifecycle to maximize team velocity. The ideal candidate must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; strong agile and process skills; someone who enjoys crafting user stories based on lots of inputs and constraints: product and UX vision, use cases, and development budget. The product specialist will coordinate with our clients, project engineers, quality assurance teams and development teams as well as project managers to ensure that business, quality and functional goals are met with each product milestone. The product specialist is responsible for the user facing design, usability, quality and delivery of a product or feature. The ideal candidate understands both the engineering and business side of the product release and is ultimately responsible for representing the end user's needs. What you'll do: • Assist in the creation of the product backlog; groom product backlog items according to availability and priority • Write user stories and acceptance criteria, as well as explain and reinforce acceptance criteria with software / QA engineers • Act as the advocate for the end users and clients • Help the Scrum Master organize sprint review meetings. • Attend sprint planning meetings. • Clearly communicate the business requirements to the Team • Get detail level of requirement from customers • Build and maintain a relationship with the customer You should have: • 1 - 3 years of experience as a product specialist/ manager / business analyst • Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and collaborate • Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment • Desire to contribute to / be a part of meaningful work • Bachelor's Degree in a related field Nice-to-haves: • Preference for candidates that are Certified Scrum Product Owners (CSPO) * Please note, due to the nature of our work, we can only accept applications from individuals that are willing and able to obtain a security clearance.
