Full Job Description
We are looking for a Product Sourcing Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Fort Collins, CO. In this role, you will drive the sourcing, supplier development, and material availability for the production components that keep our radar and sensor manufacturing lines running-collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally across engineering, quality, and manufacturing. You will own part availability in our ERP system, qualify and manage suppliers, help build and de-risk the manufacturing bill of materials (BOM), and clear supply blockers so hardware ships on time, on quality, and on cost. This will require hands-on supply chain / sourcing experience, comfort working in an ERP/MRP system, and strong supplier-management and problem-solving skills. If you are a self-starting problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment and wants real ownership of the parts that make mission-critical hardware possible, then this role is for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Conduct supplier selection for production components, leveraging Anduril's approved supplier list, to support BA radar/sensor manufacturing lines.
• Partner with suppliers and internal engineering to qualify components and resolve supply issues ahead of and during production.
• Support development and consolidation of the manufacturing bill of materials (BOM) with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp and sustain production.
• Own part availability and material planning in the ERP/MRP system-sending clear signals to Purchasing and Production on what to buy or build and when.
• Contribute to BOM risk assessments, including identifying alternate / second-source components to de-risk supply.
• Drive component and supplier rationalization to reduce complexity and improve commonality.
• Track supplier performance and support cost-awareness efforts (should-cost inputs; ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs or inflation), escalating as needed.
• Establish and improve sourcing policies, standards, and processes for the production line.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related technical field.
• 1-2 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or a related manufacturing role.
• History of purchasing & procurement process - including MLQs and volume price breaks to drive cost down.
• Hands-on experience working in an ERP/MRP system (e.g., NetSuite or similar).
• Demonstrated supplier management, negotiation, and problem-solving ability.
• Procurement of custom parts.
• Supplier management experience.
• Broad experience across commodities, including the PCBA space.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a bias toward speed and accuracy in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience sourcing electronics and/or mechanical components, ideally for RF/sensor or other complex hardware.
• Familiarity with BOM development, component qualification.
• Exposure to value / procurement engineering, should-cost / clean-sheet models, or total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) work.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment; FAR/DFAR familiarity.
• Change management and supply-risk management experience
