You'll make an impact by - Leading the research agenda for a product area by identifying key knowledge gaps and designing research programs to address them
- Executing complex, mixed-methods research programs that combine qualitative depth with quantitative breadth
- Driving the connection between research insights and product strategy - directly influencing roadmap priorities and design direction
- Expanding knowledge management standards for your product area: research repositories, insight taxonomies, and evidence standards
- Acting as a research partner in cross-functional forums - communicating research with confidence to product and design leadership
- Mentoring and developing fellow researchers through structured feedback, coaching, and collaborative research design
- Contributing to research operations improvements: recruiting infrastructure, tooling, templates, and process standards
- Championing ethical research practice - informed consent, participant privacy, and inclusive recruiting

- Incorporating advanced AI-assisted analysis techniques to synthesize large, multi-study qualitative data sets

What You Bring - 5-8 years of professional user research experience with demonstrated progression in scope and ownership
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Science, Human Factors, Design Research, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Mastery of mixed-methods research design: comfortable moving fluidly across qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Proven ability to independently lead complex research programs and deliver strategic insights
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
- Strong collaborator influence skills - able to make the case for research investment and connect findings to business decisions
- Experience in research knowledge management and building shared evidence systems
- Expert synthesis skills: patterns, frameworks, and synthesis outputs that drive action, not just report findings
- Commitment to ethical research practice and inclusive participant recruiting
Nice to Have - Experience conducting research within Education, Healthcare, Government, or Manufacturing verticals.
- Experience conducting research in global or multinational environments.
- Research experience with AI-powered products - studying user trust, mental models, and automation adoption
- Background in enterprise or industrial software research
- Expertise in specific quantitative methods: conjoint analysis, statistical survey design, or behavioral log analysis

The pay range for this position is $83,966 - $143,942 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
