Full Job Description
Location: 101 Airport Industrial Dr., Southaven, MS 38671 Position Title: Product Quality Engineer Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week Summary of Duties: Maintain and communicate quality issues from warranty returns, DC stock, and system plants. Prepare quality-related analyses, concepts, methods, and tools for management. Accumulate statistical data and perform special research, verification, and data gathering projects. Meet with Quality Assurance personnel to establish production requirements for material presented to customers and others. Receive, process, record, coordinate, and distribute data throughout the organization. Operate and perform complex adjustments to lab equipment and instruments. Perform complex quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as sampling, testing, and measuring using complex equipment. Compile, analyze, and interpret results. Perform periodic complex inspections of equipment and perform complex preventative maintenance work. Troubleshoot complex test processes. Perform complex calculations and prepare reports, graphs, and charts. Support business processes, finding solutions of technical issues, and development of new methodologies, procedures, tools and products with their theoretical and practical know-how and understanding. Focus on interpretation and application of procedures, analyze issues, implement changes, advise and guide operational positions. Perform complex and technical demanding work within technical or paraprofessional area. Advise business accountable management in specific quality-related issues. Ensure and implement quality related standards, guidelines, and programs in a specific quality area, or in an organization unit. Analyze working environment and propose improvements to management. Operate and perform complex adjustments to lab equipment and instruments. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or as an Industrial Engineer, Quality Engineer, or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires experience with the following: Experience with industrial circuit breakers and their assembly process; Metal joining technologies; Ability to diagnose and determine root cause quality issues with industrial circuit breakers; Ability to work within a global manufacturing environment; and SAP experience. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
