Job Title: Lead Commissioning Engineer [MULTIPLE POSITIONS]

Job Location: Sacramento, CA

Job Type: Full Time

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in the Sacramento, CA location is $137,218.00 - $165,000.00 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Lead in an expert role commissioning business electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, passenger coach cars, light rail vehicles, and trainsets. Maintain an expert role in combining Locomotive and Coach commissioning into a trainset approach. Develop detailed technical testing plans for upcoming projects and create detailed test reports for vehicle qualification during the commissioning process. Identify and drive the purchase of equipment and tooling required for commissioning. Lead collaboration with the business Engineering, Production, Scheduling, Project Management and Quality Management to streamline commissioning processes. Provide technical expertise to field service teams. Develop commissioning schedules and track progress against schedule. Mentor Field Service Technicians on commissioning best practices. Communicate technical feedback to Engineering to drive design corrections to meet specification requirements. Report budgeted labor vs actuals to the program management teams and clarify any discrepancies.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Commissioning Engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept no degree and 84 months of experience in the job offered or in a Commissioning Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Utilizing multiple instrumentation transducers to evaluate railroad vehicle performance

2. Working in Redmine software planning/scheduling

3. Working in Sibas G Programming Language

4. Electrical troubleshooting for MVB, WTB, RS232, ETHIF, IO Stations, Contactors, and Circuit Breakers

5. Evaluating railroad vehicle performance in propulsion, braking, stability, and vehicle control

6. UtilizingData Evaluation skills in Python, Famos, Sibas Diagnosis Viewer, Sibas DJ, HBM Catman, and Spotfire.

Telecommuting permissible pursuant company policy. 20-30% Domestic and International Travel Required. [Hybrid Role]
