Job Description
  • Work with cross-functional team, including design, engineering, manufacturing, program management, and quality to develop and implement APQP process for new product development and product launch.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) to identify potential issues early in the design process.
  • Defining the Test Plans for validation of the product and components validation in agreement with the Product Development team and the customer.
  • Monitoring the progress status of components samples and taking action to solve any criticalities;
  • Coordinating the product validation program (availability of components, planning of tests at laboratories, etc.).
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure APQP processes are aligned with our own process requirements.
  • Providing the first samples for the customer (dimensional, material and functional reports) and ensuring its approval from the customer;
  • Collecting the evidence of the requested quality activities in the specific product validation report.
  • Interfacing with the customer for aspects concerning Quality, specifically the management of nonconformities in the pre-series/series phases.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electronic, electrical, or industrial engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in APQP or a related field in the automotive industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of APQP processes and tools, including FMEA, control plans, and validation methods.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain project timelines, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods, with experience using tools such as Minitab.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards, such as IATF 16949 and VDA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Available to travel domestically and abroad to the manufacturing sites to meet with the manufacturing teams and customers.
