Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA degree.
  • Experience within the foldable smartphone or mid-range smartphone categories.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google's functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The Pixel Product Planning and Strategy team is seeking an entrepreneurially minded individual with a blend of business strategy, category management, and program management expertise to optimize and scale Google's Pixel business globally.

In this role, you will specifically focus on managing the lifecycle and strategy for both the Foldables and A-Series categories. You will be responsible for developing insightful market analysis, guiding product strategy, and ensuring seamless execution in coordination with cross-functional teams. You will help shape some of Google's boldest ventures, seeing the big picture while effectively managing detail. You will grow in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment and are excited by both planning and execution. This role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with product management, engineering, marketing, finance, sales, operations, and supply chain teams.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $150000 - $218000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Lead category management for Pixel Foldables and the Pixel A-Series, including lifecycle planning, market analysis, and strategic positioning.
  • Analyze market trends, engaged landscape, and user data to inform the Foldables category and the A-Series category. Contribute to the overall team goals of driving profitable growth, expanding market reach (with a focus on iOS switchers), and optimizing processes.
  • Support product launch activities for both Foldables and A-Series devices, ensuring alignment across GTM, partnerships, marketing, and operations.
  • Collaborate with finance and sales teams on pricing, commercial structures, and investment frameworks related to Foldables and A-Series devices.
  • Prepare and present strategic recommendations, status updates, and reports to various audiences, including executive management.
