Product Owner - Custodian Platforms

Job Overview
The Product Owner - Custodian Platforms is responsible for the ownership, optimization, and strategic execution of our core custodial relationships including Fidelity, Schwab, and Pershing. This role serves as the primary point of contact for custodian-related initiatives, ensuring seamless integration, strong operational performance, and alignment with firm-wide objectives. The ideal candidate will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external custodians to drive platform enhancements, improve workflows, and support advisor and client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day management and optimization of custodial platform integrations (Fidelity, Schwab, Pershing)
- Act as primary liaison between the firm and custodial partners, managing relationships and escalations
- Identifyand implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and advisor experience
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Advisory teams to align custodian workflows with business needs
- Support onboarding and transition of advisors and offices, including account setup, transfers, and data integration
- Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation processes, and compliance with custodial requirements
- Monitor and evaluate custodian platform updates, tools, and capabilities
- Develop documentation, training materials, and best practices for internal users
- Partner with vendors and internal teams on integrations and system enhancements
- Track and manage issues, resolutions, and process improvements related to custodial platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working with custodial platforms (Fidelity, Schwab, Pershing or similar)
- Strong understanding of brokerage operations, account management, and advisor workflows
- Experience working in financial services or wealth management environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
