Position Summary:

As the Product Owner within Employee Benefits Solutions (EBS), you will be part of a collaborative group of talented product professionals who deliver impact and value to EBS by providing creative, innovative solutions that drive revenue growth and retention. The EBS Product team consists of associates with deep knowledge of the EBS market and customers, endless curiosity, comprehensive analytical abilities, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for serving our external customers.

You will lead the product vision and delivery for the Employee Benefits Solutions Voluntary Benefits Claims experience journey. You will need to incorporate multiple business stakeholder point of views, along with survey data, voice of the customer and usability feedback to provide a customized, transformational Voluntary Benefits customer experience. You will be empowered and accountable to drive customer experience outcomes by executing on business strategy, increasing business operational efficiency, retiring legacy systems and aligning tactical decisions with strategic architectural principles.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • In partnership with business and technology owners, create a compelling product vision, develop and execute on product roadmap with a focus on measurable outcomes, track and regularly shares progress with stakeholders and team.
  • Defines Product KPIs, monitors and reports on business and customer metrics/outcomes.
  • Collaborates with teams across Employee Benefits Solutions, Securian Business Services and Enterprise Technology to elicit, analyze and understand needs, constraints, risk and alignment with organizational strategy and priorities.
  • Engages and collaborates with team and stakeholders to create and manage Agile artifacts (e.g. Product Roadmap, Backlog, Release Plan) and information needed for prioritization decision-making and regularly assesses features and costs to determine whether and when to proceed. Responsible for accepting product deliverables.
  • Prioritizing and maintaining the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
  • Brings voice of the customer through usability, analytics and survey feedback to deliver features that meet their needs, while also ensuring business outcomes are met.
  • Cultivate and maintain an effective relationship with all Stakeholders, and help the business create requirements for changes/improvements.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in the product space with the ability to demonstrate realized business value and outcomes.
  • Strategic, analytical, and results-driven leader with a proven ability to influence stakeholders and develop high-performing, self-organizing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including iterative delivery, backlog management, velocity tracking, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills, with the ability to align stakeholders, resolve conflict, and drive team effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with attention to detail and a focus on scalable, business-driven solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, balancing multiple priorities while adapting to changing business needs.
  • Solid understanding of technical concepts and architectural principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with insurance products or employee benefits programs.
  • Experience with customer self-service portals, Claims experiences and/or marketing.

#LI-Hybrid**This position willhave a hybrid working arrangement, workingin-officefor a minimum of3days a week.**

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$89,000.00 - $164,300.00
