TEAM OVERVIEW

The Air Defense team builds robots that find other robots and knock them out of the sky. At a time when air superiority can no longer be taken for granted, the Air Defense team provides mission-critical capabilities to warfighters. From detection to tracking, identification, deterrence, and defeat, our family of networked sensors and effectors enables our customers to rapidly close the kill chain against a broad range of uncrewed aerial system (UAS) threats. Working across product, engineering, business development, logistics, operations, and mission success, the Air Defense team develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the Anduril Air Defense Family of Systems in challenging operational environments worldwide.

Within Air Defense, the Command & Control (C2) team owns the compute and infrastructure backbone that fuses those sensors and effectors into a single, coherent air defense picture. This role is the operational connective tissue between the field, product, and engineering for that compute.
ROLE SPECIFICS

As a Product Operations Specialist on the Air Defense C2 team, you'll help keep our C2 compute program running smoothly at scale by supporting the operational backbone that connects the deployed fleet to the teams who build, ship, and sustain it. Working closely with senior team members, you'll maintain our systems of record, execute and improve process and tooling, and contribute to the feedback loop that turns field failures, readiness signals, and deployment friction into structured, prioritized insight for engineering, product, and program stakeholders.

You'll partner with product, engineering, program management, deployment operations, and sustainment to translate what's happening in the field into action. This role reports into the Air Defense C2 program team and offers significant room to grow scope and ownership over time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support the Feedback Loop & Voice of the Field: Help run the loop that turns field failures, Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) trends, readiness signals, and deployment friction into structured, prioritized feedback-coordinating with engineering on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and surfacing insight that informs product roadmap and program decisions.
• Maintain the Single Source of Truth, Data & Reporting: Own an accurate, real-time source of truth for all Air Defense C2 compute-status, location, configuration, and lifecycle stage-and build/maintain the readiness, reliability, and sustainment metrics that give product, program, and leadership a clear picture of fleet health. Identify trends, flag risks early, and surface recommendations to inform cross-functional decisions.
• Maintain & Improve Process and Tooling: Maintain and continuously improve the SOPs and tracking-system workflows (Salesforce, JIRA, Airtable, Slack, and ERP platforms such as Oracle or Odoo) that keep our systems of record aligned with physical hardware reality, and help scale those processes as the program grows.
• Support Program Scalability & Fulfillment: Partner with Deployment Operations, Special Projecta Team, and the C2 team to translate program requirements and production forecasts into actionable fulfillment and sustainment plans, and execute discrete projects that remove friction from deployment and Operations & Sustainment (O&S) as the fleet grows.
• Coordinate Incident Triage: Serve as an operational point of contact for issues affecting deployed C2 hardware-triaging, coordinating resolution, and escalating to engineering as needed. This includes hands-on troubleshooting when the situation calls for it (e.g., reviewing logs, running basic Linux CLI diagnostics, and coordinating hardware swaps with field teams).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years of experience in product operations, technical operations, program/product support, or a comparable role in a high-energy, fast-paced startup, hardware, or logistics environment
• Demonstrated ability to turn operational or field data into insights and recommendations that support cross-functional decisions
• Ability to communicate and coordinate technical and non-technical efforts across product, engineering, business, and sustainment functions
• Ability to work proficiently and stay organized across multiple connected systems (e.g., Oracle ERP, Odoo, Salesforce, JIRA, Slack)
• Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
• Ability to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week at Anduril's Irvine, CA office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting or owning a feedback loop or product/field-insight function between operations and engineering
• Experience building dashboards, metrics, or reporting (e.g., SQL, Tableau/Looker, or advanced spreadsheet analysis)
• Experience with the Linux Command Line Interface (CLI)
• Experience supporting or scaling hardware within a growing program
• Experience with defense logistics, ITAR-controlled hardware, or forward-deployed field operations
• Familiarity with air defense systems, Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) concepts, or C2 architectures

US Salary Range

$112,000-$149,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
