Full Job Description
About the Product Operations Team

Product Operations enables DoubleVerify's Product organization to operate efficiently, consistently, and at scale - connecting strategy to execution through planning, process design, and program management. We partner across Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure DV's product development and launch practices are predictable, transparent, and aligned with company priorities.

A significant part of our remit is managing the tool ecosystem that powers quarterly planning, OKR tracking, portfolio visibility, and product development workflows across the Product organization. This includes the Jira Product Discovery (JPD) environment, Confluence, n8n integrations, and an emerging suite of AI-enabled automation. As these systems grow in complexity and scope, maintaining and evolving them requires dedicated technical ownership - not as a side function, but as a core capability of the team.

About the Role

We are looking for a technically proficient and operationally minded Product Operations Manager to own the systems and automation infrastructure that underpins how the Product organization plans and executes. This is not a generalist role: it sits squarely within the Process & Systems Enablement focus area of Product Operations, with a mandate to build, maintain, and progressively mature the tooling foundation the team depends on.

Product Operations has already built significant infrastructure - including 50+ Jira Product Discovery automations, quarterly planning workflows serving 75+ PMs, n8n integrations, and early AI agent capabilities. These systems need engineering rigor to scale reliably and serve an increasingly complex planning environment. This role exists to provide that rigor, and to evolve into the team's primary subject matter expert for all tooling and automation decisions over time.

The systems being built are deeply embedded in how Product Ops operates. They encode our planning logic, enforce our PDLC standards, and reflect the operational judgment of this team. Building and maintaining them requires both technical capability and intimate knowledge of how Product Operations works. The person in this role will work in close partnership with IT, Engineering, and DevOps, and will serve as the connective tissue between Product Operations' needs and the broader technical ecosystem.

What You'll Do
  • Build, maintain, and improve automation workflows across Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, and connected systems, ensuring reliability and consistency at scale.
  • Productionize existing prototype automations and emerging AI agent capabilities into monitored, self-healing systems with proper testing, error handling, and governance.
  • Develop real-time integrations and data pipelines that connect portfolio strategy (OKRs, Programs) to planning (Projects) and execution (Team Deliverables, Jira tickets) for leadership visibility.
  • Implement automated health checks, dependency monitoring, and status rollup systems that reduce manual overhead during quarterly planning cycles.
  • Create reusable automation templates and self-service patterns that enable PMs and cross-functional partners to operate common workflows without relying on Product Ops.
  • Build automated data quality enforcement to prevent incomplete or incorrect data from entering planning systems - missing PRDs, undefined target dates, orphaned deliverables, and similar issues.
  • Develop automated notification and communication systems for quarterly planning milestones, OKR session prep, dependency deadlines, and reporting.
  • Support the development of AI-enabled process enforcement tools, including agents that check project artifacts for completeness and adherence to PDLC standards.
  • Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and DevOps stakeholders to coordinate automation efforts, prevent redundant work, and ensure consistency in how operational tooling is built and maintained.
  • Document automation workflows, system architecture, and operational runbooks to support knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability.
Who You Are
  • 3-5 years of experience in product operations, technical program management, operations engineering, or a related role with a strong emphasis on tooling and automation.
  • Hands-on proficiency with workflow automation platforms (e.g., Jira Automation, n8n, Zapier, or similar) and experience building production-grade integrations.
  • Working knowledge of API-driven development, including RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data transformation.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and the Atlassian ecosystem; familiarity with Jira Product Discovery is a strong plus.
  • Comfort working with AI and LLM-based tooling (e.g., prompt engineering, agent orchestration) or a strong and demonstrated willingness to develop this capability quickly.
  • Solid understanding of data quality principles, monitoring patterns, and automated testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently once direction is set.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical systems for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, cross-functional environments with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a technical domain over time - including building institutional knowledge, establishing governance practices, and communicating system context to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Ad Tech, SaaS, or high-growth technology companies.
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycle (PDLC) frameworks and OKR methodologies.
  • Experience with data pipeline or ETL tools, scripting languages (Python, JavaScript), or low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Experience building or scaling internal tooling for operations teams.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined by a number of non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and internal equity relative to peers at DV.

The estimated salary range for this role, based on the qualifications set forth in the job description, is between $94,000 - $160,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.

The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted
